Health, Safety & Environment Policy
Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (“HSEQ”) are integral to the way we work at PALM Engineering and Construction. We are committed to developing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated HSEQ management system that enables us to deliver our vision and drives continuous improvement across our Organization.
We count on our leadership and employees at all levels to deliver on our HSEQ commitments, in accordance with PALM Engineering and Construction’s policies, processes, and practices, inclusive of the Health and Safety and Environmental Policies.

Promoting compliance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management, and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management.

Business Ethics Policy
Our ethical principles are the values that set the ground rules for all that we do as employees of Palm Engineering and Construction. As we seek to achieve responsible Commercial success, we will be challenged to balance these principles against each other.
Our Ethical Principles Are:

Anti Bribery & Anti Corruption
PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION is committed to manage and to conduct the entire business in honest and ethical manner. The fundamental standards of integrity under which PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION operates strictly prohibits bribery or other improper payments in any of its business operations. Anti-bribery & Anti-corruption’s policy reflects the Company’s efforts to implement and to enforce an effective system to counter bribery and corruption activities. This policy is designed to reduce the risk of bribery and corruption activities occurring and their criminal and reputational impact on PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION and parties PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION contracts with. This policy applies to all staff, whether full-time or part- time, trainees, seconded staff, interns, and to agents, consultants, vendors, representatives (which all referred to as Stakeholders). Each Stakeholder has a personal and professional responsibility and obligation to conduct PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION’s business activities ethically and in compliance with the context of this policy and the related PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION policies. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action, up to including dismissal, and criminal liability. All Stakeholders will be required to confirm that they have read and understood the policy aand that they comply with its terms as part of their ongoing contractual assessment Processes. If this policy is breached, by any party, PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION reserves the right to terminate the contractual agreement in place and it does not bear any legal liability. A Stakeholder in breach of this policy shall indemnify, defend, save and hold harmless, protect and exonerate PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION, its shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives from and against all claims, demands, liabilities, suits, actions, damages, losses and costs of every kind and nature whatsoever including, without limitation, court costs, investigative fees and expenses, and lawyers’ fees arising out of a breach of this policy. PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION does not tolerate practices of bribery and corruption in any form or wherever paid. It is the responsibility of all employees who are involved at any time in engaging the services of external bodies (consultants, suppliers or advisers, etc.) to ensure that such individuals are made aware of the content of PALM ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION Anti-Bribery and Anti- Corruption policy at the outset of the relationship and on a regular basis thereafter
Waste Management Policy
- PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to detail a methodology for the disposal of waste generated during its operations in a manner that will not pollute the environment in accordance with current Statutory & Regulatory requirements.
- SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This procedure covers the management of disposal waste related to the activities of PEC.
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR APPLICATION
MR shall be responsible for the application of this procedure.
- PROCESS
4.1 Waste Collection
- The housekeeping and waste collection system will follow this format.
- Tradesmen produce waste
- Place waste in the specified skips at regular intervals.
- The segregated wastes are collected, weighed, and disposed by approved external party.
4.2 Waste Disposal
- Metal Scrap is sold after obtaining quotations from scrap dealers.
- Recycling companies collect wood dust.
- Wood cuttings and other general waste is disposed off in the Municipality waste disposal area by approved waste disposal companies
- Hazardous Waste is disposed off in the Municipality waste di a rea after obtaining permission from
4.3 Management Review
- All information is recorded & audited periodically and made available for management review. Corrective action can be taken where required.
4.4 Hazardous Waste Disposal
- Hazardous waste consisting of used paint/solvent drums/containers and contaminated rags are to be disposed off as follows in accordance with the procedures laid down by the Municipality
- The empty containers with dried paint in them are to be stacked in the designated area provided for the same.
- The paint/chemicals in the containers that are not used since the use before date has expired or excess paint/chemical should be stored separately for disposal
- Procurement department as far as possible to return the paint to the manufacturer if there is absolutely no further use of that particular paint/chemical prior to expiry dates to enable them to recycle the paint.
- Under no circumstances should containers with wet paint/chemicals be placed in the area provided for empty paint containers.
- Application for hazardous waste disposal will be made to the Municipality and the hazardous wastes will be disposed of in the Municipality waste treatment plant.
